My husband isn’t much for desserts, he is a manly man who would always choose meat and potatoes if given the chance. So when I was thinking about a special treat for him on Father’s Day, I decided to make something that he would love to eat and I would love to make. A meat cake! That’s right- meatloaf baked in a round cake pan topped with buttery mashed potato “frosting.” Julie had the great idea to pan fry some bacon “sprinkles” for the top and, as we all know, bacon makes everything taste even better. He loved this idea and it was a fun way to serve classic comfort food.
